Information for Crafters & Vendors

Crafters

Event Dates: Friday, November 28 – Tuesday, December 2
- Open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Beneficiaries: The Henrico Christmas Mother & Northstar Career Academy
Participation & Shifts:
- Crafters sign up for 2, 3, or 4 shifts, each 4 hours long
- You do not have to be present for the full event
Unique Setup:
- No booth setup—items are displayed in a Christmas shoppe format
- Customers pay at a central cashier station
Costs & Payment:
- $55 registration fee (covers marketing & admin costs)
- Commission structure based on shifts worked:
  - 4 shifts: 80% of sales
  - 3 shifts: 75% of sales
  - 2 shifts: 70% of sales
- Payments are issued within a week after the event (minus Virginia Cliffe Inn’s percentage for expenses)
Displays & Participation:
- Items are placed throughout the Inn, but small display racks may be incorporated
- No business license or tax ID required (participants handle their own taxes)
- Limited duplication of similar items to ensure success for all crafters
- Teamwork is key! Items are staged for best sales results, and placement changes require approval

Vendor Spaces (Garden Pavilion & Heated Tent)

Booth-style setup
10’ x 10’ space provided with a 6’ table & 2 chairs
You handle your own sales, bags, and money collection
Cost: $150 – $250 (depending on location) + $55 registration fee
No commission fee in this section

Christmas at the Inn is open to crafters that make handmade items or add handmade components to items. The Virginia Cliffe Inn is turned into a magical shopping experience for our customers with a very personal touch. We stage all the crafts in the house with one central cashier allowing our customers to tour the Inn and enjoy the holiday smells and music, while meeting crafters and selecting items they wish to take home. Crafters work a portion of the show.

3rd party vendors information:

Our show is open to 3rd party vendors. We feel this enhances the shopping experience for our customers. The Virginia Cliffe Inn is located on private property with 6 acres of spacious grounds with a four seasons pavilion, cottage and heated tent allowing us to provide space for vendor booths at the rear of the property. Each booth is a 10×10 reserved space in one of these areas on the grounds. 3rd party vendors work the entirety of the show and collect their own funds.
