About Laura Jones:

Laura found yoga because it made physical exercise accessible. In yoga, one goal is to integrate the mind with the body. There is something inherently affirming in a practice that says, “it’s okay to follow the leader and still modify to meet your individual needs.” As a teacher what Laura loves best is to see her students feel better about themselves and seek to help them meet their goals.

In her yoga practice, she seeks mental equanimity and therefore is always a student, a yogi, and a practitioner. She began her yoga journey on January 1, 2014. It was not a New Year’s Resolution which is probably why she still practices. It was just an opportunity to try something new because she had the day off from work. What she discovered is that yoga is so varied from teacher to teacher that when she found the one that met her needs, she found a new way to live life.
